Every first weekend of September, the charming village of Seneghe transforms into a stage for poetry, music, and culture.
Since 2005, the “Cabudanne de sos Poetas” – the “September of Poets” – has celebrated Sardinian poetry, bringing together authors from around the world. The streets, squares, and historic houses fill with readings, debates, music, and creative workshops, creating a vibrant atmosphere that honors the island’s literary heritage.
Residents open their doors to guests, sharing everyday moments with poets and artists while also boosting the local economy by showcasing traditional products such as olive oil, wine, and cheese.
The festival grows year by year, featuring workshops for children and young people, literary discussions, and art installations that leave a lasting impact beyond the festival days. Anyone looking to be enchanted by language, sounds, and Sardinian hospitality should make sure to mark Seneghe in September on their calendar.
